News

Mission

The Health Information Promotion Section is dedicated to promoting physical and mental health and preventing illness through two core activities: (1) supporting the maintenance and improvement of the physical and mental health of students and faculty, and (2) connecting the diverse health information obtained through research and educational activities to practical support for students and faculty.

Services

① Identifying Lifestyle and Mental Health Factors Affecting Academic Performance — Research to Prevent Academic Difficulties (Survey Research)

We conduct surveys and analyses on the lifestyle habits, mental health, and academic conditions of students. Data analysis is carried out for both Japanese and international students, and a portion of the findings are incorporated into health education delivered through coursework and published on the website.To the parents/guardians of target students (external page))

② Support through Physical Exercise and Relaxation

We provide individual instruction and group work in physical exercise and relaxation to support mental health improvement and prevention of severe fatigue.

③ Analysis and Dissemination of Health Information, and Related Support

We provide health education information for students and faculty.

④ Development of Health Support Programs

We plan, evaluate, and develop programs to improve physical activity, lifestyle habits, and mental health, as well as electronic educational materials.

Introduction to Relaxation and Exercise Videos for Self-Care

We distribute videos effective for self-care via YouTube, Google Drive, and other media.

Light Exercise Classes

We provide group or individual instruction in stretching and light physical exercise for students and faculty, helping participants acquire skills to improve their health.

Body Awareness Skill-Up Seminars

In response to requests from students and faculty, we provide group or individual instruction in body techniques (bodywork) to heighten awareness of one’s own physical sensations. Through bodywork, participants can cultivate bodily awareness and experience a sense of relaxation.
